Is it mandatory to wear a bathrobe, towels and slippers?

Yes, wearing a bathrobe is mandatory in the restaurant and relaxation areas. For hygiene reasons, towels and slippers are also required. You may bring your own or arrange them at reception upon arrival. Bathrobes and towels are available for rent, and slippers can be purchased.

Are there special swimwear days?

Yes, at Zuiver every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are designated swimwear days. On these days, wearing swimwear is mandatory. On all other days, swimwear is not permitted.

What kind of swimwear is allowed at the resort?

Swimwear is only allowed — and also mandatory — on swimwear days.
Women may wear a swimsuit or bikini, and men may wear swim trunks.

Wearing body-covering swimwear (such as a wetsuit, swimshirt, burkini or hijab) is not permitted in our resort.
This is because your body temperature and heart rate increase significantly in the sauna, and body-covering swimwear prevents proper cooling. Wearing such clothing in the sauna can therefore pose health risks.

Additionally, the body expels many toxins during a sauna visit. Wearing body-covering swimwear traps and redistributes these toxins, which is unhygienic for both you and our other guests.

Are there special ladies’ and/or gentlemen’s days?

No, there are no separate ladies’ or gentlemen’s days at Zuiver. All days are mixed and open to everyone.

Do I have to pay prior to my visit?

No, you pay upon departure. When you arrive, you’ll receive a wristband to wear during your visit. This wristband also serves as your digital wallet. Any purchases made in the hospitality or beauty areas will be scanned onto your wristband. At the end of your visit, you can pay at the reception desk.

Is payment by credit card possible?

Yes, you can pay with credit card.

Can I go to the sauna if I am pregnant?

If you have a healthy pregnancy, you can use the sauna. However, if you’re unsure, we recommend consulting your doctor first. Please note that some facilities are not suitable during pregnancy. For example, the infrared sauna is not recommended due to its deep and intense effect. We also advise against using the plunge pool, aroma baths, and whirlpool because of a higher risk of infection. To cool down, it’s best to use a cold shower.

What is the minimum age for visiting the spa?

Guests are welcome in our spa from the age of 18. If in doubt, we may ask for proof of identity.

Are there lockers available?

Yes, Zuiver offers plenty of lockers for guests. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a wristband that opens your locker and also serves as your digital wallet. Any purchases made in the restaurant or massage department will be linked to your wristband. You can settle the total amount at reception after your visit.

Is the use of a cell phone, tablet or laptop allowed in the spa?

No, the use of cell phones, tablets, laptops or other electronic devices is not allowed in the spa, in order to protect the privacy of our guests. Taking photos and/or making video recordings is strictly prohibited.

Does Zuiver have its own parking lot?

Yes, you can park on Zuiver’s premises. The parking fee is €3.00 per hour.

Is it possible to charge an electric car at Zuiver?

Yes, we have four designated parking spaces available for charging electric cars.

Is the spa accessible for disabled people and/or wheelchair users?

Please note that there are many stairs in the spa. If you have difficulty walking, this may limit your access to certain areas. An elevator is available to reach the dressing rooms and beauty department. However, the spa facilities are not suitable for wheelchair users.

Is there a special discount if I visit the spa on my birthday?

Yes, Zuiver gives you the opportunity to use our spa facilities on your birthday with a 50% discount. If you would like to take advantage of this discount, please remember to book your visit in advance.

Are you closed during certain weather conditions?

Zuiver is open 7 days a week. However, in the event of extreme weather conditions (such as thunderstorms), some spa facilities may be closed temporarily for the safety of our guests. In such cases, no refunds will be given.

Do you have a private spa?

No, Zuiver does not offer a private spa. All facilities are shared and accessible to all guests.

Vouchers and coupons

I am in possession of a voucher. Can I show this on my mobile phone?

Yes, you can show your voucher on your mobile phone. It will be scanned at reception.

Packages

Do you offer packages with hotel stays?

Yes, we do! Hotel & Wellness Zuiver features a beautiful hotel with 70 rooms, including Standard Rooms, Superior Rooms, and 2 spacious Junior Suites. Make your spa visit extra special by booking an overnight stay as part of your wellness experience.

Do you also offer complete packages?

Yes, we do. To make things as easy as possible for you, we’ve carefully composed a variety of packages focused on rest, space, and luxury. You can customise your ideal wellness day to suit your personal preferences.

Reservations

Is it possible to reserve an entrance or package?

Yes, you can make a reservation via our website or by calling us at +31 (0)20 301 0700.

Are there any reservation costs?

Reservations made through our website are free of charge. For reservations made by phone without any treatments, a €5 reservation fee applies.

Does my reservation include a sunbed?

No, sunbeds are not included in your reservation. However, you’re welcome to use any available sunbed free of charge. We do our best to ensure that as many sunbeds as possible are available for our guests.

Is it possible to reserve a treatment or massage upon arrival?

This depends on availability. To ensure a spot, we recommend booking your treatment in advance.

Can I make a reservation for a group?

At the moment, it is not possible to make group reservations.

Is it necessary to make a reservation?

Yes, we recommend making a reservation in advance, either online or by phone, to ensure availability.

Vouchers & Tickets

I want to visit the spa, are all facilities open?

Yes, all our spa facilities are open. To ensure a pleasant experience, we maintain a maximum number of guests per area. At the entrance of each sauna or bath, you’ll find a sticker indicating the maximum capacity. Shower facilities are also fully available.

How do I know if my voucher has not been redeemed yet?

Your voucher will be scanned and redeemed upon arrival. We recommend removing the voucher from your wallet or app after your visit to avoid confusion in the future.

Massage & Hammam

Do you also offer duo treatments?

Yes, both our relaxation massage and hot stone massage are available as duo treatments. In addition, the hammam treatment can be booked for two people in the same room.

Can I indicate whether I want to be treated by a man or a woman?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to choose a male or female therapist. We do our best to make every guest feel comfortable during their treatment.

I will arrive later than the time indicated. Is this possible?

Your treatment is scheduled in advance at the time confirmed in your reservation. If you expect to arrive later, please inform us as soon as possible by phone or email. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, depending on availability.

Gift vouchers

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, you can purchase a gift card at the reception of Zuiver. It’s also possible to buy e-tickets via our website, using iDEAL or credit card. The e-ticket will be sent to your email immediately after payment.

Do you also accept other gift certificates, such as the National Sauna Voucher or VVV Gift Card?

We only accept our own Zuiver gift certificates and the Nationale Sauna & Wellness Cadeaukaart.

Can I redeem my gift certificate after the expiration date?

If you email us at service@zuiveramsterdam.nl, we may be able to extend your gift card. Please note that entrance vouchers and discount vouchers cannot be renewed.

Food & Drinks

Are own consumptions allowed?

No, bringing your own food or drinks is not allowed during your visit to Zuiver. We kindly invite you to enjoy refreshments in our restaurant or relaxation area.

Do you have gluten-free dishes?

Yes, we offer gluten-free dishes. You can inform the restaurant of your dietary needs on the day of your visit.

I have a food allergy. Can I have lunch or dinner at Zuiver?

Yes, absolutely. Please inform our staff about your allergy. They will consult with our chef to explore suitable options for you.
